Chana Chat

Ingredients

  • 2 cup over night soaked boil black chana
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp black salt
  • 1 tbs oil
  • 1 tsp chat masala
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 pinch hing
  • 1 tsp grated ginger paste
  • 1 boiled and chopped potato
  • Finely chopped onion
  • Finely chopped tomatoes
  • Finely chopped mint
  • Finely chopped coriander
  • Lime juice

Steps

  1. Take 2 cup black chana soak over night, drain off excess water, add soaked chana in cooker, 1.5 glass water and salt pressure cook it untill 3 whistle
  2. Let it cool completely and drain excess water in chickpea.
  3. Take a small bowl, add red chillies powder, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, chat masala, black salt, and mix well.
  4. Add water and prepared a paste
  5. Take a pan add oil heat on medium flame
  6. Add cumin seeds, hing, grated ginger, and saute them on medium flame.
  7. Add prepared spice mix fry them untill oil released
  8. After oil released, add boil chickpea and mix well.
  9. Add salt/masala if required.
  10. Add boiled and chopped potatoes and mix well.
  11. Turn of the flame let it cool completely
  12. After cool completely, transfer into a bowl.
  13. Add finely chopped onion, coriander leaves, chopped tomatoes, finely chopped mint lime juice, and mix well.
  14. Chana chat ready to enjoy.
